Silliness in the Snow!

02/06/2018

Henry has had an eye infection for a little over a week which meant no off lead walking while he had his antibiotics. I'm unsure if this is a skill unique to just him, but Henry can find a puddle or a patch of mud anywhere we go and does not like to return home clean. At his first Labrador Rescue North West Summer Fundraising event, I had him bathed and brushed ready to enter the "Handsome Boy" contest, however Henry had other ideas and managed to find a ditch and spent the rest of the day looking like he was wearing socks.

After I opened the back door to see it was snowing, Henry and Lily ran outside and started jumping up at the snow trying to eat it like a dog version of that scene with Winona Ryder and the ice sculpture in Edward Scissorhands. We headed out to one of the local fields where they had a fabulous time running about trying to catch the snowflakes and repeatedly running through the same muddy puddles, before returning home to dry off in front of the fire and snore for the rest of the afternoon.
