A beautiful evening for a walk.

I'm unsure if Lily and Henry have a favourite time of day to walk, but there is something peaceful about an evening walk at sunset after a day of sunshine. On this particular evening we had the entire walk to ourselves; no traffic, no other walkers just the sound of birdsong and the beautiful scenery as the sun set. 

Henry had to visit the vet earlier this week as he was stopping part way through the walk and I was taking him home with our dog walks becoming a little shorter to compensate for this. The vet diagnosed Henry has having early stages of arthritis, which at the age of 8 is common especially in labradors. With the advice of the vet, and also some of our lovely friends at the Labrador Rescue, Henry has begun having golden paste with his meals as well as Loxicom which seems to have eased the discomfort he was in. I'm still taking the walks at his pace, I let him lead and whilst some days he wants to walk for 5 minutes, others he wants to walk for an hour. As before, the miles recorded are what I have walked, just some are in the company of Lily and Henry.
